I love this router. Easy to use, kind of a pain to install and set up, but worked great once I did. Saved my gaming issue too whereas the Linksys one would crap out every time I powered up my PS3. Great for gaming and wireless internet use.
dont call NETGEAR for tech support, its over -priced and not worth it, instead, look it up on thier forums and instructions for help on install. trust someone who has been thru this.
Connectivity drops on this router every 2-3 minutes and I'm left with no other option besides powering up the router again.and the story repeats itself over and over again. I'm trashing this router and buying another one.
I was satisfied with this product as it did what it needed to do: allow me to access the internet through the connection my roommate had already set up. What I don't necessarily like about this product is that it doesn't seem to work for more than one internet connection. If it could be re-programmed for a different internet connection whenever you needed it, it would be more flexible and convenient. It did its job, however, and I'm pleased with that.
We standardized on this router for our lower-end router because it is very reliable and easy to install. This is a simple, entry point router that works well with both Apple Macs and PCs. I am a Internet Service Provider and I test everything I install. We haven't had any issues to date and we have been installing them for about 1 year now. Version 9 is the way to go.
